How we collect, use and look after your personal information, and the cookies we use.
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This policy explains what personal information London Self Defence Academy collects through this website, why we collect it, how we look after it and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email us at contact@londonselfdefenceacademy.com.
London Self Defence Academy (“we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at:
Our enquiry forms ask for your name, email address and what you’re enquiring about. You can also choose to give us your phone number, your school, company or postcode, your group size, preferred dates and a message.
We ask for your name, email address, how many people you expect to bring and which seminar you’re interested in.
If you email or call us, we keep the details you give us so we can reply and arrange any training.
Before a class or seminar, we ask you to tell us about any medical condition, injury, disability or other health issue that could affect your ability to take part safely. This is special category information under data protection law. We only collect it with your explicit consent, only use it to keep you safe and make any adjustments, share it only with the instructors running your session, and delete it once it’s no longer needed for your training.
Photos or video may be taken at some sessions. We’ll tell you in advance, and we’ll ask for your consent before using any identifiable images for promotional purposes. For anyone under 18, we ask the school or a parent or guardian for consent, not the child. Tell us if you’d rather not be photographed or filmed.
If you accept analytics and advertising cookies, we collect information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, roughly where you are and the type of device and browser you use. See Cookies below.
We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. Schools and parents arrange training with us directly.
We won’t send you marketing emails unless you’ve agreed to receive them, and we never sell your information.
We only share your information with companies that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:
Some of these companies may process information outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK–US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies are small files stored on your device. When you first visit the site, we ask whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. These are only set if you click “Accept all”. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link, which is also in the footer of every page.
